Fire damage can also cause water damage

When a Downtown Louisville business suffered a small fire in the server room the sprinkler head did the job of putting out the fire.  However, the water damage caused by the sprinkler to that floor, and the floors below meant a big cleanup job.  

Fires can happen at any time of day and unfortunately for this business the fire occurred in the middle of the night when no one was on property to catch the water damage from the sprinklers quickly.

Once the building was safe to enter SERVPRO of East Louisville was on scene quickly to start mitigating the damage.  Containment was set up in order to keep the smoke damage from the server room from escaping to any other portions of the building.  Carpet, baseboards, and drywall were removed so the drying process could begin.
